Vocal Part 2- Look at All the Bursting People...

Remixed from Vocal part 1. The Vocal 2 selection was pulled from bits and pieces of the finished and exported version of Vocal 1- The Bag Lady. There is some mircoediting, but by and large this is not about effects. It is an exercise intended to show how just about anything, can be made into just about anything else. This selection was made as an accompaniment to Vocal 1, and I think it adds to that piece quite a bit. The first story has an overt serious tone, and rightly so, but this blog is in no way meant to be serious. I think by listening to this piece you are able to really appreciate vocal 1 in a new way.

Vocal part 1- The Bag Lady

In this assignment we were asked to record either a rant or an interview and edit it to under 3 minutes. I have a rant that I composed of an experience that I shared with my girlfriend a few weeks ago. In this assignment we also had the ability to add in sound effects, however I really believe that due to the content of my rant those sound effects may have detracted from the listeners experience. I decided to leave out any effects, as they were not a requirement. We also learned some essentials of compression and equalization while working on this assignment, and were required to apply both.
