In completing this project the goal was to capture two distinct sounds, one indoors and one outdoors. Both had to be well recorded, but difficult to identify for the listener. Have a listen to both and try to guess what each recording captures.
Outdoor Recording ~ 40sec

The outdoor recording was made on south 13th street near a Macco Body shop. I began on the 30 bus southbound until I reached Wisconsin Avenue, there I would change buses to the 19 heading south along 13th street until I arrived at my destination. I ride the 30 often, but until working on this project I had never rode the 19 bus. Click Here for a map of the route. I took some time to look for areas of the city that were industrial-ish and near bus lines, this area felt like a good choice. I decided to stay away from parts of the city I am familiar with for this portion of the project and I think the resulting sound is pretty cool.
Indoor Recording ~ 49sec

I would share where I captured it but that alone could give it away. I will just say it was somewhere along Downer Avenue, click here for a map of the area. and I did get the permission of the owners to make my recording there before I began. In no way did I manipulate this sound, I basically walked in, recorded for 10 minutes at three different levels, and exported a selection that I felt was the most interesting. Good luck figuring this one out!
